JOETAN: Journal of Ethnolinguistics and Anthropolinguistics

JOETAN: Journal of Ethnolinguistics and Anthropolinguistics is an academic journal that focuses on interdisciplinary studies of the relationship between language, culture, society, and human life. The journal provides an academic platform for research that explores language as an integral part of identity, local knowledge, cultural practices, and the social dynamics of communities.

JOETAN welcomes research articles, conceptual studies, and critical reviews in the fields of ethnolinguistics and anthropolinguistics, including studies of local languages and cultures, local wisdom, folklore, oral traditions, cultural lexicons, ethnic identity, language ecology, rituals and cultural practices, language documentation, language maintenance and revitalization, as well as language change in social and cultural contexts.

Publication Frequency

JOETAN: Journal of Ethnolinguistics and Anthropolinguistics is published twice a year, in February and August.
